Come and join us at the 4th British-Irish Airports Expo. It’s hosted by Heathrow Airport and is located at the Olympia London.
Plus, you’re invited to drinks at our booth on Tuesday 11th from 15:00.
On Wednesday 12th June, we’re also giving two presentations.
Bill Haraka will present and take part in the UAS Airport Incursion Threat Roundtable at 11:15.
Siete Hamminga, CEO, will present the following keynote at 14:00:
Data-driven KPIs in bird hazard management: How airports are moving towards measuring real risk – and not just recorded bird strikes
- There is no global consensus on what defines a ‘bird strike’
- Counting bird strikes around airports is generally the basis for indicating performance, but the difference between a near-miss and an actual bird strike is pretty much luck
- An increase in bird strikes may simply reflect better reporting rather than a real physical increase
- How airports are moving towards the next-generation of bird hazard Key Performance Indicators by combining cutting-edge avian radars with new data analysis tools to enable objective measurement of real bird strike risk
Outside the presentations, you’re always welcome to drop by at Booth B9, or you can pre-book an appointment with the Robin team in case we’re busy at the booth.
And don’t forget drinks are on us on Tuesday from 15:00!
