Robin Radar Systems is thrilled to welcome two newly appointed members to our driven management team (MT).
Our new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Frank Roerink, and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Vivien Croes, are sure to bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion to Robin.
The appointments seal several pivotal MT shifts, including the appointment of Marianne van Putten as Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Donja van Laarhoven as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)
They also come on the heels of a momentous year for the company, following a strategic partnership with Parcom, a 15-year milestone, and, most recently, a year of rapid growth in the U.S.
Now, Frank and Vivien will add strength and insight to our experienced MT as we press ahead with an ambitious growth trajectory.
Introducing Frank: Robin Radar CFO
Frank Roerink brings nearly three decades of experience as a finance professional across a range of industries, with a strong background in leading finance, IT, and legal functions.
Frank has successfully supported multiple high-growth scale-ups in their next phases of development. He spent over ten years in financial leadership at Unilever, followed by 12 years as CFO at Avantium, before joining Cabka as CFO in 2023.
Along with a track record in consistently building strong teams and leading buy-and-build strategies, Frank has also just completed a 5-year tenure as a supervisory board member at TU Delft for Delft Enterprises. Here, he supported the commercialisation of scientific innovation.
Frank said, “Joining Robin Radar is a fantastic opportunity. The company has built a great, leading technology with an inspiring and committed team. The global industries that the company operates in are changing fast and furiously, and I look forward to helping scale up the company in these exciting times.”
Frank takes the baton from Maria Sanchez, following two integral years of professionalising Finance and onboarding IT, compliance, HR, and facilities. Frank is sure to continue her great work, and we’re excited to have him on board.
Introducing Vivien: Robin Radar CTO
Joining Frank is Vivien Croes, our new Chief Technology Officer.
Vivien is a dynamic, future-focused leader with a strong foundation built at the crossroads of technology and business. Not to mention, embedded experience in the defense and aerospace sectors.
He holds a PhD in Plasma Physics from École Polytechnique de Paris, a degree in Environmental Engineering from the Technical University of Munich, and an MBA from Collège des Ingénieurs. His academic journey focused on simulation and advanced systems.
Starting in satellite electronics at Airbus, Vivien then moved to Sonaca, where he built and scaled an Aerospace and Defense division from two to 60 full-time equivalent (FTEs) in just two years.
He said: “I am extremely proud to join the excellent teams at Robin Radar, putting my experience at the service of the company’s development. I am looking forward to getting to know the team members and products better. Let’s make it happen together!”
As we welcome Vivien, we also thank Tanja Claasen-Vujcic for her incredible leadership as COO/CTO through rapid growth and transformation, from a 20-person startup in 2018 to a 150-strong team, comprising 35+ nationalities. Over the years, Tanja has worn many hats and overseen major company milestones, from the introduction of pension schemes to the ISO 27001 certification, and many more.
We’re pleased that Tanja’s support will continue as a member of Robin’s Supervisory Board, where she’ll place her deep experience and insight.
We’re confident Vivien will build upon her legacy, with an expansive global mindset, product creation expertise, and the same passion for innovation.
Where leadership meets vision
Alongside experience and expertise, Frank and Vivien are a great match for Robin thanks to their unique mindsets.
Even as we grow, we remain committed to the culture of innovation, accountability, and purpose that, in 2010, turned a bright idea into a bold mission. As we expand into key markets and scale innovation across sectors, it remains important to do it all the Robin way.
That’s why we’re excited to welcome Frank and Vivien, who, though very much on our wavelength, are sure to bring fresh perspective, weight, and impact to Robin Radar.
